William Horner of Pateley Bridge

Tenth Generation - William Horner of Pateley Bridge

William Horner, father of Thomas Horner of Gowthwaite was born in 1593, son of Thomas Horner and Barbara Danson [1] . He joined his eldest brother James, who was three years old [2] . His youngest brother Christopher joined him in 1595 when he was two [3] . The three boys must have been very close.

This may be the same William Horner who is recorded as being of Winksley in 1651 and disputes lands with John Wright [4] .

William Horner was buried in Pateley Bridge in 1663 [5] . It is not known who he married, but he may have had two other sons, Gabriel and Michael [6] . Gabriel was buried in 1615 [7] .
